Throughout the world, the Young Adult genre has become immensely popular. The Hunger Games, Divergent and The Fault In Our Stars are only a few examples of many bestseller titles. Young Adult itself is as popular in the Netherlands as in other parts of the world and so many books have been translated. However, that is all the Dutch publishers did; translate titles from abroad. Dutch authors didn’t have much of a chance, but Natasja Storm didn’t want their talents to go to waste, and so Storm Publishers was Founded.
Storm Publishers
Storm Publishers is Dutch but its books will also be published in English. The publisher is currently supported by a promotion team: the Storm Chasers. This team exists of 10 volunteers who all have one thing in common; they love to read! And perhaps I should say: we love to read because I am one of them! Our team is divided in different sub teams. For example, some of us are actively busy with promoting the publisher whereas others write monthly articles for on the site. However, the most exciting part about being a Storm Chaser is the opportunity to read books before they get published! One such book is Heat by Lis Lucassen. You can read my review here.
